Sassy Smith is The Aphantasia Coach
With more than 30 years experience of coaching and mentoring, Sassy brings her lived experience of aphantasia, SDAM, anauralia and alexithymia to supporting other neurodivergent people to live the life they want.

My story...
When I had a nervous breakdown and couldn't find a therapist or a coach who knew how to work with somebody like me, I had to find a way to fix myself.
Not being able to visualise, or listen to my inner monologue or remember my past made traditional coaching and therapy methods challenging, frustrating and stressful. The complete opposite of what I needed.
So I threw myself into the research, started to train as a counsellor, and using all of my coaching experience and knowledge, developed the tools and methods which I now teach in The Aphantasia Coaching Academy.
"If you're looking for someone who can support you to stop feeling stressed, overwhelmed and anxious, someone who really understands you and how your brain works, then Sassy is exactly who you need"

FIRST STEP
The first step to working with me is to have a FREE 20 minute call where we talk about what it is you'd like to change in your life and if coaching could help you with that.
It's also a chance for us to get to know each other and decide if we're the right fit.
After that, you decide if coaching is what you want and if you want to book a session. It's perfectly ok, if you don't want to. This is about you so there's no pressure for you to sign up for anything if it doesn't feel right for you.
Whilst there's not enough time for a full coaching session, I do always try to leave you with at least one actionable step which you can take right away, to start you on your journey.

COACHING PROGRAMMES
Coaching sessions are for 60 minutes and are all carried out over Zoom.
Whilst there really isn't a set number of sessions, a lot of coaching programmes tie people in to a minimum of 6 to 12 sessions, but that isn't how I work.
I offer 3, 6 or 9 sessions and you can choose which best suits you.
Most people tend to book 3 sessions initially and then review if they want more, once those have been completed.
Whichever you choose, we will book these all in advance. I have some availability for weekends and evenings to help to fit around your life.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Knowing what to expect from a coaching session can make the process seem a little less daunting.
Traditionally, coaching is a relationship between two people where one supports the other to find the solutions to their problems and the steps they can take to creating change.
A session usually starts with finding out what it is that you want to work on and ends with a plan of action.
My job is to help you, as the expert in your life, to gain clarity and find solutions by asking questions. My job is not to fix your life for you but to empower you to do that. Where it's appropriate to do so, I can offer you some tools to help you find those solutions and recommend some steps you can take but, ultimately, you get to decide what works for you.
Your job is to commit to taking action and giving yourself the best possible chance to create the life you want.

THIS IS YOUR TIME
A coaching session is your time to talk and sometimes that's exactly what you need to make sense of what's going on in your life.
It's your time to speak freely knowing that you are in a safe space where you can be totally honest and that you won't be judged at all.
I'm here to hold that space for you, to listen and support you, and help you to verbalise all of the things which are on your mind.
This is your safe space to just be you.
My promise...
to provide coaching services which are affordable, with no hidden charges or costs if you change your mind about working with me.
