The problem

Most coaching models quietly assume a universal inner experience. The familiar prompts work well for many clients, and for others they produce nothing at all.

When your client can't picture a goal, can't retrieve a past example, has no inner voice to consult or can't name what they are feeling, your coaching tools may be inaccessible to them without either of you realising why the session has stalled.

Identify that a standard method isn't working, and name which cognitive difference may be making it inaccessible.

Select from a set of concrete adaptations matched to that specific difference.
